LINKS
My LINKS page is dedicated to those who have helped me so much in my writing career.
A few of those persons are listed here.
Sarah Neufeld is the author of the book Visibility. I met Sarah at a Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) retreat some years ago and that is where I first purchased her book. (I bought it again when it was released as an illustrated novel) I don't believe she has a website, but you can get more information online through Amazon.com and even order Visibility from them if you are interested. Sarah was kind enough to critique a novel for me and I must say she did a wonderful job.
Richie Tankersley Cusick is the author of the Unseen series and many other books. She critiqued the beginning of The Pigeon Catcher for me and gave in-depth advice and examples about how to improve my writing. If you like scary stories, I recommend hers. There are links to her books on her website and some really good values!
Marian Scadden started the writer's critique group I have been a member of these past few years and she has a book out titled: The Other Art: Theater Skills to Help Every Child. This volume actually has two versions, one for teachers and one for homeschoolers and others who want to involve their children in theater the fun and easy way. There are also a number of plays she's written that you can purchase, and some free ones as well. ALSO, BRAND NEW IN 2013 IS:
SHORT STORIES FOR 2-3 KIDS
Andrea Fitcha McAllister is an author/illustrator whose first novel should be out soon, but in the meantime, check out her artwork on Facebook.com/pages/Andrea-Fitcha-McAllister. She also illustrated the covers of three books for one of my writer friends and they are amazing, so if you are in need of an excellent illustrator, check out her website at www.AndreaFitcha.com (Just click on her name at the start of this paragraph.)
Singing Winds Press I just want to acknowledge them for their help and cooperation in getting my first novels published. If you are curious about the other books they are offering, hop on over there for a look see. (Just click their name at the start of this paragraph.)
A famous author. Since I don't know this man, I won't mention his name. I owe him a debt of gratitude for his book On Writing. I found it immensly helpful and after reading it I edited about 20,000 words from the book I was working on at that time. If you are a writer and you have not already done so, I encourage you to read this book.
Another famous author. I don't know her either, although she did autograph one of her books for me, and her initials are UKL, but every writer owes a debt of gratitude to this sci-fi legend and Oregon resident who took a stand to protect all of our copyrighted works. Thank You!
B-Lee Coyne is a producer for CCTV, a local Salem, OR television broadcaster. Among other shows that he does, he has one called AWESOME AUTHORS, which he was kind enough to invite me to for an interview regarding my 10th novel The Not-Witch. That interview happened April 24th, 2015. Thank you so much Mr. Coyne.!
